A Letter from the Principal

Dear families,

As we enter the stretch to the holidays, we are so excited at all our students have already accomplished. Students have just turned in their first round of projects, and many have already joined co-curricular activities to make our school an even more connected community. Our focus in the coming weeks is ensuring every student enters Thanksgiving “on track” in every course. To ensure this happens, we need your support with attendance. With cold and flu season approaching, it’s so important students are getting to bed early, taking those vitamins, and relieving stress in positive ways. Our daily attendance goal is 95%, and up to this point in the year, we have been meeting that goal. Let’s keep it up as we charge into fall!

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and care for our community. We are so glad you’re a part of our team.

Warm Regards,

Please be on the lookout for your student’s MAP reading level data. You should receive your student’s reading level sometime in the coming week via email or via your student. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to your student’s mentor directly.

Additionally, our library will be up and running by this Friday! Please check in with your student to see what they are reading and hold them accountable to reading 30 minutes per night. Being an excellent reader supports a student’s learning in every single content area, and the best way to improve reading skills is to read consistently over time. Please reach out to Mr. Stein or Ms. Jones for further information about your student’s performance in English class.

SPIRIT WEEK: Oct. 23- Oct. 27

Please encourage your student to participate in the following days to show school spirit!

Monday: Pajama Day

Tuesday: Twin Day

Please help us ensure students are participating appropriately in Spirit Week. Normal school dress rules apply: Make sure shorts/skirts are long enough, no midriff, bra straps, or boxers/underwear showing, and all language and images are school appropriate. Please email your student’s mentor if you have questions regarding Spirit Week!

Now that you’ve selected a template, you’ll define the layout of your email and give your content a place to live by adding, rearranging, and deleting content blocks.
When you’re ready to change the look of your email, take a look through the “design” tab to set background colors, borders, and other styles.
